Keeping fit and active while coping with the burden of cancer or the side effects of treatment can be a challenge, but I strongly believe that exercise should be an essential part of our healing programme. It helps strengthen our body's resilience to help us cope with the demands of treatment and there is even increasing evidence that it helps to control the spread of cancer (see my blog post "Does Exercise Prevent Cancer?"). It also helps our emotional health by increasing endorphins and giving us a sense of achievement and building confidence.
Here are some of my latest blog posts on the subject of activity. I hope you enjoy them and find them useful. Please share with anyone who you think would benefit from them and leave a comment. I want to help as many people as possible and I value all feedback.
